      Evans (Seven Secrets of Successful Families) believes that any couple, regardless of their baggage, can rebuild a broken and strained marriage into one that is stronger and more passionate than it was during the honeymoon. He comes from a Christian perspective and advocates first surrendering oneself and the marriage to God, then committing oneself to honesty and loving communication, and going beyond what's expected. Evans details his advice in each chapter with case studies, verbatims, and exercises. A four-week discussion plan for groups concludes the book. Evans provides reputable advice for Christians who can follow the ideals of biblical covenantal love. As usual with marriage improvement books, it's not necessary, but a definite plus, if both partners read the book. Highly recommended for small study groups.
