[Editor's Note: The following is a combined review with WRATH OF THE LION.]--These two thrillers from the master of the craft feature adept abridgments and lively performances. Christopher Lee presents a polished reading of TO CATCH A KING, including skilled characterizations of male and female spies and Nazis. His flawless timing holds listener interest from start to finish. Nicol Williamson's WRATH OF THE LION, though well read, suffers from an annoyingly uneven audio mixing. Elderly characters drop to inaudible levels, while the bad guys hurt your ears. And his perfect interpretations of French characters speaking English are so French that the English words are nearly impossible to understand. R.P.L. (c) AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine
