Defense attorney Paul Madriani is no stranger to dangerous situations; most recently, he averted nuclear disaster in Rule of Nine (2010). Here a monstrous assassin named Liquida is on the loose, and Madriani learns that his own daughter is caught in the crosshairs. With his trusted law partner, Harry Hinds, and his companion, Joselyn Cole, at his side, Madriani stops at nothing to keep his daughter safe, all the while trying to find two NASA scientists who have gone missing. It seems the scientists know certain things about weapon technology that a few corrupt governments want to knowat any cost. From DC to California to Europe to Asia and the Mexican rain forestthe action is nonstop. But thats not all. The dialogue is snappy yet believable, and the relationships between Madriani and Hinds and between Madriani and Cole are deep and meaningful without being sentimental.
